July 11 2025 The Dublin Leprechauns defeated the Monterey Amberjacks 9-4 behind a complete-game performance from Sam Ott. Dublin collected eight hits and improved to 33-20-1 while Monterey finished with eight hits and one error in the loss.
Dublin took control with a four-run third inning and added two runs in the fifth before scoring once in each of the sixth seventh and eighth innings. Monterey scored once in the second and sixth innings and twice in the seventh but could not close the gap.
Ott helped his own cause at the plate by going 2-for-4 with a home run two runs and two RBIs. Donnie Gardiner drove in three runs with a hit and three walks and also hit a home run while Dylan Leek scored twice. For Monterey Tyler Toland went 2-for-3 with an RBI and Trenton Avitia collected three hits and an RBI.
Ott earned the win after allowing eight hits and four runs two earned while striking out 13 without issuing a walk over nine innings. Hector Gallegos took the loss for Monterey after allowing seven hits and eight earned runs with seven walks and two strikeouts in 6.1 innings.
