July 8 2025 The Dublin Leprechauns defeated the San Rafael Pacifics 3-2 in a tightly contested nine-inning game. Dublin scored twice in the first inning and added another run in the fourth, while San Rafael answered with runs in the fourth and seventh. The Leprechauns finished with five hits and two errors, while the Pacifics collected six hits and committed four errors.
Abraham De La Cruz led Dublin with two hits, including a double, and scored one run. Dylan Leek added a hit, a run and two stolen bases. Sam Ott, Damone Hale and Kabrel Johnson each drove in a run for the Leprechauns. San Rafael’s John Bicos went 1-for-3 with a home run, one run and one RBI, while Fred Buckson and Jorge Rios also had hits. Mark Hernandez doubled, and James Courshon contributed an RBI on a sacrifice fly.
Connor Caporale earned the win for Dublin after allowing two runs on four hits in 6.2 innings. He struck out eight and walked three. Dante Hatchett followed with a scoreless inning, and Brad Moreno recorded the save with 1.1 scoreless innings, two strikeouts and no hits allowed.
San Rafael starter James Courshon took the loss despite allowing only one earned run over seven innings. He gave up five hits, struck out four and walked two. Antoine Valerio completed the Pacifics’ pitching effort with a scoreless eighth inning. Dublin’s early two-run advantage and its fourth-inning insurance run proved decisive as the Leprechauns preserved the one-run victory.
