June 8 2025 The Martinez Sturgeon overcame an early deficit to defeat the Dublin Leprechauns 12-8 at Ofallon Field. Martinez collected 16 hits and scored in seven consecutive innings from the third through the ninth, while Dublin finished with eight hits and two errors.
Dublin built an 8-5 lead through five innings after scoring twice in the second, three times in the third, once in the fourth and twice in the fifth. Martinez pulled even with one run in the sixth and one in the seventh before taking control with two runs in the eighth and three more in the ninth.
Harrison Treble led Martinez with three hits, two runs and an RBI. Mike Kelly added two hits, two runs and three RBI, while Sam Freedman drove in two runs and reached base four times. Wataru Kumagai hit a home run and finished with two hits and an RBI, and S. Matchen also homered while collecting three hits, two runs and an RBI. Dublins Carson Richter hit a home run and supplied four RBI, and Jojo Barfield had two hits and an RBI.
Myles Rothfarb earned the win for Martinez after pitching two-thirds of an inning without allowing a hit or a run. Ryan Harvel started for the Sturgeon and worked six innings, allowing six hits and eight runs while striking out seven. Tim Nichols took the loss for Dublin after allowing seven hits and five runs in four innings, while Makana Fo allowed three hits and one unearned run in two-thirds of an inning.
