Vallejo Seaweed Pull Away From Dublin Leprechauns 17-7

May 31 2025 The Vallejo Seaweed defeated the Dublin Leprechauns 17-7 at Wilson Park, using a nine-run fourth inning to take control. Vallejo scored twice in the first, added two runs in the fifth, one in the sixth and three in the eighth. Dublin scored once in the third and twice in the fourth before rallying for four runs in the ninth. Michael Pavelchak led Vallejo’s offense with two hits, including a home run, three RBI and two runs scored. Trey Fletcher also drove in three runs and scored twice, while Layne Wilkerson collected three RBI. Mickey Nunes scored four times and drew four walks, and Aaron Harper reached base twice while scoring two runs. Vallejo finished with 11 hits and 10 walks. Anthony Espinoza earned the win after completing all nine innings for Vallejo. He allowed 11 hits and seven runs, six earned, while walking three and striking out two on 120 pitches. Tanner Fanoti took the loss for Dublin after allowing six hits and 10 runs, six earned, in 3.1 innings. Makana Fo worked 2.2 innings and allowed four runs, three earned, while Brad Moreno threw a scoreless inning. Damone Hale paced Dublin with four hits and two RBI, while Drew Bayard added two hits and scored once. Kenneth Stewart had Dublin’s only other multi-category offensive line with one hit, one run and one RBI. The Leprechauns committed three errors, while Vallejo played error-free baseball.
