July 26 2024 The Vallejo Seaweed defeated the Dublin Leprechauns 8-6 at Wilson Park. Vallejo scored six runs in the first inning and added two in the sixth, building an 8-3 advantage before Dublin rallied with three runs in the eighth. Dublin finished with 11 hits, while Vallejo collected 10 and committed two errors.
Trey Fletcher led Vallejo with three hits, two runs and two RBI. Michael Nunes added two hits, a run, two RBI and a walk, while Alec Harper contributed two hits, two runs and an RBI. Chris Drain drove in two runs, and Vallejo also received an RBI from Francisco Leon.
Dublins T. Latham went 3-for-5 with a run and an RBI. V. Cineceros had two hits and two RBI, while D. Gardiner and M. Sonn each added a hit and drove in two and one run respectively. Dublins 11-hit attack included doubles by C. Evans and M. Sonn; Vallejos extra-base hits were doubles by Harper and Fletcher.
Leon earned the win with a complete-game effort, allowing 11 hits and six earned runs while walking one and striking out three. Gardiner took the loss after recording two outs and allowing four hits, six earned runs and four walks. N. Antony worked 5.1 innings for Dublin, allowing six hits and two earned runs, while N. Camacho finished with two scoreless innings and three strikeouts.
