July 5 2024 The San Rafael Pacifics defeated the Dublin Leprechauns 8-3 behind a balanced offensive attack and a strong start from Jake Dent. San Rafael collected 12 hits and scored in four innings, including a two-run first, a three-run fourth, a two-run fifth and a run in the seventh.
Austin Buckson led the Pacifics with four hits, four runs and three RBI, including two home runs. J. Bicos added two hits, a home run and an RBI, while J. Bouhuys hit a home run and drove in three runs. Dublin also finished with 12 hits, led by J. Ford, M. Sartwell and T. Bridges with three hits apiece. T. Bridges recorded a double, and D. Gardiner and N. Antony each contributed an RBI.
Dent earned the win after allowing two runs on nine hits in 6.1 innings. He walked one and struck out eight. J. Summers worked the final 2.2 innings, allowing one run on three hits while striking out four.
Dublin scored once in the first inning and added single runs in the seventh and eighth, but San Rafael maintained control after its three-run fourth and two-run fifth. C. Bochtler took the loss for Dublin after giving up eight runs, including eight earned, on 11 hits in seven innings with two walks and four strikeouts.
