July 4 2024 The Marysville Drakes defeated the Dublin Leprechauns 8-4 at Bryant Field, scoring three runs in the first inning and two more in the second to take an early 5-1 lead. Marysville added two runs in the seventh and one in the eighth to secure the victory. The Drakes finished with 10 hits while Dublin collected eight.
Jumpei Ohashi led Marysville with two hits, two runs, two RBIs and a home run. Justin Smith drove in three runs, while C. Harmond and J. Leslie each recorded two hits. A. Green added one hit and one RBI, and Jayden Drake doubled and scored a run.
Drake earned the win after allowing three runs on five hits in six innings, with eight strikeouts and four walks. T. Nichols worked two innings and allowed one run, while G. Mos pitched a scoreless ninth. Dublin starter Nico Camacho took the loss after surrendering seven runs on 10 hits in 6 2/3 innings with two strikeouts.
