July 3 2024 The Dublin Leprechauns defeated the San Rafael Pacifics 7-6 in 10 innings at Fallon Field. Dublin collected 14 hits and overcame a six-run performance by San Rafael, which finished with 12 hits and no errors. The Leprechauns scored the decisive run in the 10th inning after the teams were tied at 6-6 through nine innings.
San Rafael took a 2-1 lead after three innings, but Dublin moved ahead 3-2 through four. Both teams scored three runs in the fifth, leaving the game tied at six. Dublin’s scoring was led by J. Ford, who had two hits, two walks, one run and one RBI, while C. Evans and D. Gardiner each collected three hits. T. Latham and V. Ceniceros added one RBI apiece, and N. Antony scored twice.
J. Bicos paced the Pacifics with three hits, two runs and a walk. B. King also had three hits and drove in two runs, while B. Diggle hit a home run and finished with two RBI. A. Buckson reached base four times with two hits and two walks and stole two bases.
Makano Fo earned the win for Dublin by pitching a scoreless 10th inning without allowing a hit. Joey Mucilli started for the Leprechauns and worked seven innings, allowing 11 hits and six runs, five earned, with five walks and five strikeouts. San Rafael starter K. Hasegawa allowed six runs in 4.1 innings, and Marcus Watkins took the loss after surrendering the tiebreaking run in 1.1 innings.
