June 16 2024 The Dublin Leprechauns defeated the Bakersfield Train Robbers 6-1 at Sam Lynn Ballpark. Dublin scored three runs in the first inning, added one in the fourth and two in the fifth to build a 6-0 lead before Bakersfield scored its lone run in the eighth. The Leprechauns finished with four hits and one error while the Train Robbers collected five hits and committed three errors.
Stone Miyao, Tyler Bridges, J. Williams and Fuma Ogami each had a hit for Dublin. T. Latham drove in two runs, while Miyao, Bridges and Williams each added an RBI. Miyao scored once and also drew a walk. Bakersfield’s N. McCreary had one hit, one RBI and one walk, and L. Eskew recorded two hits.
Ogami earned the win with a complete game, allowing five hits and one run over nine innings. He walked one and struck out three, throwing 68 strikes in 96 pitches. Austin Toerner took the loss after allowing four hits and six runs, three earned, in seven innings with one walk and three strikeouts. A. Miller finished for Bakersfield with two hitless scoreless innings and two strikeouts.
