June 8 2024 The Dublin Leprechauns defeated the Bakersfield Train Robbers 14-1 at Sam Lynn Ballpark, collecting 16 hits while holding Bakersfield to three. Dublin scored in each of the first five innings, including three runs in the second, three in the third, four in the fourth and two in the fifth. Bakersfield’s lone run came in the second inning.
J. Ford led Dublin with five hits in five at-bats, four runs and two RBI. A. Stayte added three hits, four runs, two walks and two doubles, while C. Evans went 3-for-4 with five RBI. D. Gardiner had two hits and an RBI, and P. Parker and J. Williams each drove in a run. Dublin also drew 12 walks and stole two bases.
Nico Camacho earned the win with a complete-game effort, allowing three hits and one earned run while walking three and striking out one over seven innings. Gehrig Taylor took the loss after surrendering 10 hits and eight earned runs in three innings. C. Rogers-Allen allowed four earned runs and six walks in two-thirds of an inning before R. Mercurio completed the game for Bakersfield.
